B”H they are safe.
Inside job.
SUSPECTED RIGHT FROM THE BEGINING THAT THIS WAS AN INSIDE JOB
Baruch H-sh-m they were all returned.
We learn that everything happens for a spiratual reason, now that the Sifrei Torah are returned we must ask what spiritual defect we have, that caused the theft in the first place, and of course do a proper and complete Teshuvah.
Outside job.
BARUCH HASHEM
bh i wonder what happened…
Can’t wait to find out what really happened.
1. isn’t there a sefer torah registry? how is one able to go about selling stolen sifrei torah?
2. what a painful irony. i guess for theives it makes no difference. stealing involves trampling on the Torah itself. (something for us to remember when advocating for kosher services for prisoners.)
Rather than being upset with the loss of sifrei Torah, I am far more concerned with the loss of a neshama who feared neither the authorities nor Hashem when he decided to steal these things. The sifrei Torah could have been replaced. They have been returned intact, thankfully. But who will repair and return the neshama?
