YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of Hagon Rav Elazar Dovid Follman ZATZAL, a Magid Shiur for many years in Yeshiva Torah Temimah in Flatbush.
The Levaya is scheduled for Friday afternoon at 4:00PM, in Shomrei Hachomos on Ft. Hamilton Pkwy in Boro Park, and the Kevura will take place in Deans, NJ.

Rabbi Follman was truly a master mechanech, who tailored the chinuch to each talmid. Years later, I often think about the different approach that he took to meet each talmid’s needs, and realize that he was preparing each boy to use his personality to meet challenges that might not surface until many years later.
He was one of the wisest men I have ever met, very down to earth and very Ruchniyusdik, with an exceptional ‘joy of life’, breadth of vision. More than just teaching, he imparted the joy of learning to the class.
He had a profoundly positive impact on my life and I will be forever grateful. i don’t know if anyone other than my parents ever did so much for me. I hope that in Olam Habaah I will once again have a chance to learn with ‘Rebbi’.
