White House National Security Adviser James Jones has apologized for a joke that offended some Jewish citizens, reported earlier today by YWN.
“I wish that I had not made this off the cuff joke at the top of my remarks, and I apologize to anyone who was offended by it,” Jones said in a statement. “It also distracted from the larger message I carried that day: that the United States commitment to Israel’s security is sacrosanct.”
The apology came as President Obama attended a meeting today between Jones and Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak.

its pretty obvious in his position that he knew what he was doing. its obviously premeditated. he was liberalizing antisemitism on purpose in continuation with the ongoing antisemitic policies of the obama administration.

Its in poor taste to make such a joke. The people in high places of govt need to hold themselves to a higher standard. I mean seriously, racist jokes from the National Security Advisor?! Where’s his “shtultz” that’s so low. I give him credit for the quick apology, however he should have known better. We all know if it were a black joke which I doubt he’d pull (because of the race our Rusha of a president) he’d get slaughtered by Sharpton. If it was a Muslim joke I’m afraid to think what they’d do probably kill a few people. We have every right to take offense when they make jokes about us too. If we don’t take offense it become 2 jokes then 4 then 8 then evry politician will throw a Jew joke into his speech to get the crowd laughing. Racism and anti semitism isn’t a joke.

If he would have made a joke about african americans or latinos he would have already been standing on line to collect his unemployment check.
What’s more troubling is that this wasn’t an off-the-cuff joke. This was his opening remarks of a prepared speech. Obama has certainly picked some real winners to serve.

Jones was Commander, United States European Command (COMUSEUCOM) and Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) from 2003 to 2006 and as the 32nd Commandant of the Marine Corps from July 1999 to January 2003. Jones retired from the Marine Corps on February 1, 2007, after 40 years of service.
In November 2007, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of State as special envoy for Middle East security. He served as chairman of the Atlantic Council of the United States from June 2007 to January 2009.

I believe you’re wrong in laughing along with a minion of Barak Obama as he continues to wage what is effectively a campaign against the security of a huge population of Jews concentrated on Holy Land.
Given what Obama and his team have been perpetrating against Israel since taking office, I believe it is a huge mistake to give them any quarter. These are people who, when given an arm take a leg. These are people who deny past agreements that the US struck with Sharon in good faith negotiations, and who make it their policy to create more daylight between Jewish and Obama interests, and who are willing to invite only self-hating Jewish groups like J Street to the White House to represent the Jewish community. These are not people to be laughed with, trifled with, or treated like friends. The Jewish people will need to deal wisely with these folks for what they are.
