Pidyon Shivuyim is one of the greatest forms of Tzedakah possible. But now, thanks to a kind donor, you can get this mitzvah, plus walk away with a dollar of the Rebbe!
In honor of Sholom Mordechai HaLevi ben Rivkah, the first 50 people to make a donation of $770 or more to the “NCFJE Pidyon Shivuyim Fund” will receive an authentic dollar of the Rebbe. (These dollars are from the late 80’s). The campaign will last until Gimmel Tammuz, 5770.

I wonder if R’ Shmuel Kamenitzky, R’ Perlow, and Rav Malkiel Kotlker, who signed the kol kore to call the defence department for R’ S.M Rubashkin, would also sign onto this campaign.
As important as it is to help this innocent Mr. Rubashkin, perhaps some of the real estate owned by his family could be sold to help him.
Our heart goes out for Reb Shalom who was wrongly fingered. Hashem should have pity on him and send him a miracle and a yeshua.
#3 Are you kidding me? The Rubashkin family has NO real estate! As someone who used to visit Postville in the “good days” I can tell you that although the Rubshkins were making tens of million dollars, they lived and continue to live the most simple life while giving it all to tzedoko!
They never owned a second home in Crown Heights like many wealthy Lubobs do. They never owned an apt in Eretz Yisroel like many wealthy frumme Yidden do. They own no yachts or vacation homes. They never even went on vacation, rather they used their money to build their business AND TO GIVE TZEDOKO!!!!

Hard to believe. That’s A LOT of millions we are talking about. While I’m sure he gave generously I don’t believe he gave so many millions a year!
You can play with the numbers as you please, Sholom Rubashkin owns NO real estate other than what he HAD in Postville, which as of now no longer belongs to him either.
Also, I wrote that they took their earnings to give tzedoko and to put it BACK INTO THE PLANT. Keep in mind that Postville is the most sophisticated plant of its kind anywhere! Some pieces of machinery there costs in the millions!!!
