NY Governor Andrew Cuomo is currently visiting Israel.
Among his scheduled on Sunday Cuomo visited the Kosel, Yad Vashem, and met with Netanyahu.
Cuomo attended a security briefing at Jerusalem’s Old City Police Headquarters with Israeli Minister of Public Security and Strategic Affairs Gilad Erdan, New York State Director of the Office of Counter Terrorism Major Michael J. Cerretto and Special Counsel for Public Safety Letizia Tagliafierro. The Governor then visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Kosel. Following the tour, the Governor met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Prior to that, Cuomo launched the “New York-Israel Commission” with Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat following a working lunch with Israeli business leaders. The commission will be responsible for creating a framework to strengthen economic and cultural ties between New York and Israel. Mort Zuckerman will serve as honorary chair of the 22-member commission and Malcolm Hoenlein, Linda Mirels and Allen Faigin will serve as co-chairs.
On Sunday morning Cuomo toured Yad Vashem with Director of the Libraries Dr. Robert Rozett. The Governor then participated in a memorial ceremony at the Hall of Remembrance with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin where he paid tribute to the victims of the Holocaust. Governor Cuomo also held a media availability with President Rivlin.

Come on, a little heart. You’re smiling away, non stop talking. The Gov is clearly trying a somber mood and you dont stop spiting technical facts in an excited tone.
…Then you take him to one of the most beautiful views in Jerusalem, meant to envision the majestic hills of populated Israel after traveling through such dark and evil times in our history – and you point out THE HIGHWAY?! Unbelievable. Truly a wasted opportunity. Pity.
