Two women are on the lam after they stole a police car in Queens and took it for a spin, police said.
Officers from the 105th Precinct pulled over a van that matched the description of a stolen vehicle near the Belt Parkway in Laurelton at 3pm on Thursday.
The driver, identified as Arthur Goines, 35, of Jamaica, began fighting with the two officers and ran from the scene.
When the two officers chased after Goines, two women from the van jumped out and over to the police car, which was still running.
The two women fled with the car and drove it for twelve blocks before ditching it. They are being sought for grand larceny-auto charges.
Goines was charged with resisting arrest, grand larceny-auto, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
According to police sources, the officers involved with the flub will not be facing any charges.

Chushuva Yid – not so chushuv if you think that a poor boy accidentally burning $2000 in Eretz Yisroel is illegal, but two police officers abandoning their vehicle is somehow not a problem at all? There is protocol involved – something they didn’t follow. Research it.
To tell you the truth, this doesn’t bother me at all, but not to have any feeling of concern for a Yid losing money is not so chushuv at all.
Reb B., first of all, they probably would’ve lost Goines if they went back to the police car. 2nd of all, who said I wasn’t concerned? I just asked if it was illegal to burn money. Do you see anything in that sentence that says I wasn’t concerned?
