10:34AM EST: Firefighters are currently battling a fire in the Highland Park Bungalow Colony, located on Highland Avenue in Woodridge, NY. Thick smoke can be seen in the area, ann mutual aid assistance has been requested from nearby Mountaindale, Woodbourne, Fallsburg, and Monticello Fire Departments.

An eye-witness tells YWN that at least 2 (of the older) bungalows in the front of the colony [next to the Simcha Hall] are fully engulfed in flames, and are practically destroyed.
