10:15AM EST: A magnitude 7.2 quake hit Chile during President Pinera’s inauguration ceremonies. The quake occurred approximately 30 minutes prior to this first YWN report. There is no word on injuries or damage as of this posting.
The epicenter was about 71 miles from Valparaiso, Chile, where Pinera was to be inaugurated. CNN television footage showed the inauguration proceeding without a hitch.
The Associated Press is calling the quake an “aftershock” to the massive 8.8 quake which struck central Chile on Feb 27th. In that quake 796 people have died, roughly 2 million people have been affected and 500,000 were damaged.
10:23AM EST: Another 6.9 aftershock has just struck 27 minutes ago according to the United States Geological Survey.

Is this a totally separate quake in a different fault area or is it an after shock, from the earlier quake?

It’s a sign Klal Yisroel should do teshuvah i heard that everytime theres a tragedy in the world it’s a sign Klal Yisroel is not acting like they should so these quakes are a sign we should change our ways.
