10:00AM EST: Highly credible sources have just confirmed to YWN that the missing body of 37-year-ol Alexandre Bitton A”H, an information technology consultant from Montreal has been found in Hotel Montana in Haiti.
Two Brooklyn Askanim unaffiliated with any organization (including ZAKA, JRF, or Vital Two) worked tirelessly with Canadian authorities [Royal Canadian Mounted Police] since the devastating earthquake to locate his missing body – at their own expense.
The sources state that the body will be released sometime within the next two weeks and will be brought to Kevura.
Alexandre Bitton had landed in Port-au-Prince barely an hour before the earthquake hit. He is married and has a 2-year-old son.
Bitton, 37, had planned to be in Haiti on business for a week. It was his first trip to Haiti.
Additional details will be published as soon as they are available to us.

Baruch Hashem that he was found. ZAKA was searching for him also .
Zaka is the foremost organization in Jewish search & rescue.

Where are all the organizations when the cameras are gone?
I am deeply saddened to hear that Alex has been identified as recovered. My thoughts and prayers to Line, their son, and to Jocelyn and Ralph. Rest in Peace Alex.

Why two weeks before kevurah? Are there no askanim to prod the authorities? Maybe Chabad?
wow who are these tzadikim? this is sad to hear. i imagine that they knew what hotel he was staying at and if it took so much time to find him, that just goes to show how horrible the conditions there must have be.
Commennt # 2 Smart 1 What a nasty comment.
You obviously are not familiar with ZAKA . ZAKA always operates without cameras.
You wouldn’t do their work for a $ Billion dollars.
