Palm Beach, FL – A Boynton Beach rabbi who spent a night in jail in October after being charged with driving without a valid license is fighting back.
Saying he was cleared of the traffic charges, Rabbi Yedidya Cohen claims he was improperly strip searched in front of a female corrections officer at the Palm Beach County jail, in a lawsuit filed Tuesday.
His attorney, Robert Rubin, claims he has asked for the report of the search but the sheriff’s office has refused to provide it. He is asking a judge to force the office to give him the record.
An attorney for the sheriff’s office wasn’t immediately available for comment.
