Former President Clinton Hospitalized in NYC


WABC is reporting that former President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized in New York City. According to ABC News, Clinton underwent a procedure at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. The procedure may have been for a stent.

Clinton, 63, underwent a quadruple coronary artery bypass operation at the same hospital in September 2004.

Douglas Band, counselor to former President Clinton, released this statement on Thursday evening:
“Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of New York Presbyterian Hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest. Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his coronary arteries. President Clinton is in good spirits, and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti’s relief and long-term recovery efforts. In 2004, President Clinton underwent a successful quadruple bypass operation to free four blocked arteries.”

  1. YWN that was very sensitive to only put a picture of our former president wearing a head covering, especially to those of us not used to seeing someone without a Yarmulka.

  2. Yes, baruch hashem. My fear of my kids using the internet has always been of them chas v’shalom seeing someone not wearing a kipa.
