Last month Israel Police reported a pilot program was going to begin to test bodycams, which are seen in use in a growing number of police forces around the world.
Police announced on Wednesday, 18 Elul that twenty-four patrol cops would be heading out with their new bodycams as part of the pilot program, all serving in the Zevulun District. The policepersons selected to participate in the pilot were briefed on the use of the bodycam.
The bodycams were distributed to the officers during a modest ceremony in station with a number of senior commanders looking on.
