R’ Batzri Shlita Will Try to Remove the Dibuk

batzri.jpgHaGaon HaRav Mekubal David Batzri Shlita is expected to attempt to remove the dibuk from a Brazilian avreich as was reported in December 2009 by YWN-Israel.

After Rav Batzri Shlita attempted to assist the victim without success via Skype, Rav Kanievsky and others have referred the infected man to Rav Batzri, indicating he is the only hope, the only one who knows how to deal with such a situation. Rav Kanievsky Shlita wished the man a complete recovery, but indicated he is not capable of addressing his problem, pointing him in the direction of Rav Batzri.

The avreich from Brazil arrived in Eretz Yisrael a number of days ago, hoping the Mekubal will indeed be the shaliach who will return his life to what is was previously, before being invaded by this foreign entity.

This morning, the avreich visited with Gedolei Yisrael Shlita, including Maran Rav Elyashiv Shlita, Rav Leib Rabinowitz Shlita, the Ma’adnei HaShulchan, HaGaon HaTzaddik Rav Zundel Kroizer Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Kanievsky Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Shteinman Shlita, visits that he made in compliance with a request from Rav Batzri, ahead of the Wednesday night attempt to remove the dibuk from him.

The event will be held in Yeshivat HaShalom in the Makor Baruch area of Yerushalayim later Wednesday night.

  1. before being invaded by this foreign deity.

Do you know what these words mean???

Bad enough that you feel that you must report on these absurdities, but please, try to keep the kfirah out of it.

  2. deity caught my eye as well. Ouch.

    English 1.1:
for the general populace…deity is a god or goddess/ one exalted or revered as supremely good or powerful/rank or essential nature of a god
(intentional spelling of god, since this does NOT refer to HASHEM, our G-d) (taken from merriam-webster online)

Perhaps one of the reporters wrote diebuk or something else and spell-check suggested it. it happens all the time

  3. Weird, on Kol Mevaser it was reported a few days ago that the mekubal already attempted to chase the dibuk out but it didn’t cooperate, so it was delayed to a later time, weird.

  4. I always have to ask myself if this sort of thing makes me laugh or makes me cry. The implications are staggering if this is emes, and the implications are equally staggering if this is sheker. Sof sof, I have to wonder if big gedolaim respond to these things not because of an emunah in them but because of the emunah of the k’lal in them.

  5. The Maadanei HaShulchan’s correct name is R’ Levi Rabinovich, shlita, the father of HaGaon HaTzaddik R’ Gamliel, shlita.

  6. There are many seculars in Israel, who attribute, the Dibbrohs and Koilos by Matan Torah, to Kishuf, which was very common in those times.

With this Dibbuk they’ll all finally see, that it is the Koach Hatorah, because Rabbi Batzri is going to say Psukim and Maamorei Zohar, and he is going to use a Rosh Hashanah Shofar.

Lets hope they have it on video, and everybody can see the Dibbuk actually fly out.

  7. according to definitions in Wikopedia deity can refer to a soul. “A deity is a postulated preternatural or supernatural immortal being, who may be thought of as holy, divine, or sacred, held in high regard, and respected by believers.”
Except for the devine defenition it fits. A nashama is immortal unless H-Shem destroys it. It is supernatural, holy, sacred, held is high regard, and those of us who belived in dybuks resepect it.

  8. i just got off the phone with the dibbuk himself… and he wants me to tell you all to get a life and stop arguing over a word in the article.

  9. re: #17 moderator

Why do you allow this mistake, kefira, on your web site, even if it “only” a mistake?

Is it worth one Jew believing in elohim acheirim, CH”V, rather than editing the story (as should have been done in the first place)?

  10. To everyone attacking the YWN moderator: Glad you are all so perfect and never make a spelling mistake or write the wrong word.
Possibly if you are so concerned about going off the derech from exposure to a writing mistake, you need some chizuk in your emunah!
Oh, and before you push the “submit comment” button when you respond to THIS comment, please double check what you’ve written for any errors!!!

  11. i was just there it seems like the show is over many people where leaving (although a large crowd was staying) the “raid” was that rav batzri told the crowd to go home,on whether the dibbuk has left, the crowd seemed unsure, i didnt hear anyone saying with certainty that it had left!

  12. bigkhuna, you’re playing around with words. The definition is a way to describe what the word means. The word is not merely a link to a definition. The general population mean only one thing when they say immortal and holy being, and it’s obvious that the writer of that wiki article wasn’t refering to a Neshamma.

  13. #22 kotzker chosid
    you are missing the point
this that you say was just the hava amina but the truth came out when it didnt work so you see the internet is not a good thing and the rayah is from the dibuk himself

  14. my friend has a sister who lives in brazil, who claims the whole story is not true. no, she didnt mentioned her sources. i dont know what to believe. lets wait and see.

  15. i dont know if the Brazil part is true, but I WAS THERE (and so was every other yeshiva boucher in jerusalem) when rav batzri tried to remove it. there was a crown of about 500 people coming and going the entire time!!

  16. Rav Bakri

    BS”D

Rav Batzri. Talk about embarrassing typos. Bakri is the name of a yishmoeli who produced a film in defense of terrorism.
