Monsey, NY – YWN regrets to inform you of the sudden Petira of Mrs Ilsa Hoffman A”H, who was Niftar yesterday from a sudden, and massive heart attack.
Mrs Hoffman A”H had called Hatzolah for her husband who had R”L suffered a stroke. While the ambulance was driving to the hospital, she suddenly had a massive heart attack. Hatzolah Paramedics attempted to save her life, but were unable to.
The Levaya is scheduled for today (Sunday) at 1:30PM in Yeshiva Spring Valley, and the Kevurah will be on Har Hazeisim.
Please be Mispallel for her husband, Yosef ben Tirtzah, who R”L remains in critical condition.
The Aveilim include a daughter, Mrs. Rochel Lemberger from Toronto and three sons, R’ Nosson Hoffman, R’ Yaakov Hoffman, and R’ Binyamin Hoffman. She also has two sisters: Mrs. Ruthy Lederer and Reb. Chana Wessel, and one brother Mr. Felix Adler.
Shiva will be held at 9 Sylvan Road in Monsey, NY. Please be advised that R’ Binyamin Hoffman will be travelling with the Nifteres to Eretz Yisroel, and won’t return to Monsey until Tuesday.

The Hoffman’s were major philanthropists back in the day, most notably founding and supporting what was known simply as Hoffman’s Kollel. Although they lost all of their money and even more so, three of their daughters they never lost their emunah in Hashem. May He comfort the family in their time of great need.
