VIDEO LINK BELOW: Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana) a powerful Senator who has a great influence on health care debate in the Senate is getting a lot of attention on the web today. It seems a video has been circulating accusing Max Baucus of being drunk on the house floor. Quite frankly if you watched the video , his speech is slurred and he seems a bit unbalanced.
Whether or not he is drunk depends on your definition. Very interesting though, maybe Baucus had a few cocktails before he gave this speech.
It looks like the video was pulled off of CSPAN and it is legitimate. Unless you are an expert at telling when someone is drunk by looking at a video it would be hard to tell one way or the other.
The fact that he may or may not have had a couple drinks is important though. This was important legislation and tax payers deserve their elected officials have all their faculties when dealing with such an important issue.
Susan Flowers of Examiner.com writes: Is this acceptable, NO. Is this behavior and lack of leadership acceptable to U.S. Citizens who are paying his salary?
Have all rules established over hundreds of years being thrown out and disregarded by the Democrat party?
He should be brought before his peers and punished, if they don’t, should Voters, as employers, write him up for inappropriate behavior and disorderly conduct?
Americans are paying taxes to support his career. If you disapprove, call and write the other Senators and request he be charged with disorderly conduct. No one in the Congress or Senate should be allowed to be intoxicated when officially representing the Citizens of the USA.

I think the people who voted for any democrat must have had a stiff one before voting. To me it seems as if he is drunk however I am wondering why no one mentioned this.
I like the way he said they reached out to the other side of the aisle. Thats BULL! They didnt do that. Harry Reid has been having CLOSED DOOR meetings with his caucus only. They are so secret no one knows what was agreed to.

Senators being drunk is nothing new. The late Daniel Patrick Moynihan Senator from New York was famous for being totally drunk by 9:00am. As a guest speaker at an Agudah convention years ago,he showed up dead drunk and managed to give a mostly coherent speech.
Can’t tell if he’s drunk, having a bad reaction to medication or having a TIA. Would hate to judge based on a video.

Chemical impairment is only one form of intoxication. Congressional proponents of Obamacare are intoxicated with the delusion that their social experiment won’t bankrupt America. Intoxication via alcohol or stubborn, liberal “we’ll ram it down your throats” chutzpah is still intoxication.
I don’t see what the big deal is. He slurred a few words and was not so decorous, however, he was clearly able to form intelligent sentences and had a decent train of thought.
I would venture that his office will say he was off some sort of medication, or maybe he was tired from working nonstop to save our healthcare system. Either way, stop parroting Drudge and his cronies on every issue. Frum media is overwhelmingly conservative, but in truth, there are liberal or progressive FRUM yidden as well that do not appreciate these constant attacks on their mehalach.
Drunk or not, he spoke the same nonsense as all of them do most of the time

What difference does it make? The healthcare bill may as well been written by drunks. Further, having to sort through the healthcare bill would drive anyone to drink. He has to actually try to understand what’s in that pile of papers.
