Poll: Obama’s Approval Rating At 44 Percent

obs2.jpgPresident Obama’s approval rating fell to its lowest ever level in the daily Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll published Monday.

The telephone poll of 1,500 likely voters found only 44 percent said they somewhat approved of Obama’s performance, a new low in his 11-month presidency. A majority of voters, 55 percent, said they disapproved of the job Obama was doing.

The lowest his approval rating had fallen before was to 45 percent, once in early September and once in late November.

Opposition to health care reform championed by Obama remained stable at 56 percent, the poll found, with just 40 percent in favor of the legislation.

  1. I guess America doesn’t like the CHANGE he brought. Where is the “savior” of a president when we need him to work on the economy and come up with a plan for our war (that he sent troops to fight)? oh, accepting a peace prize he didnt earn and attending a conference about “climate change” that has been found to have been a lie. (climategate emails anyone?)
A do-nothin president who cant talk without his teleprompter. Who voted for him again???

  2. #2 that may be so but have you wondered why CBS, NBC, ABC CNN etc. haven’t released any polls lately? Because the #’s would be the same and they don’t want you to see that. A poll is a legitimate tool no matter who takes the poll. The Harris poll has Obama at 43%.

I think that when a person falls below 50% it should be called the disapproval rating, as in Obama’s disapproval rating has risen to 56%.

  3. 2, Rasmussen is among the accurate ones. the fact that they are “right wing” (I am not too sure about that one) would only show them as being more honest in their polls. I’d trust them over the Communist News Network poll any day!

#8 a poll is a sampling of a certain amount of people and if i know a certain constituency is of a certain orientation (let’s say like texas is conservative) i would call them to alter the poll in my favor
furthermore these polls show obama is viewed as favorable

  5. mbachur, maybe you also believe that the government can healthcare better than the private sector? Maybe you also believe that there is nothing in the constitution that could support Roe v. Wade? How about the public sector can run anything better than the private sector. You believe that too?

  6. flatbush bubby,

    1st of all i’m a registered republican, i personally don’t like him.
2nd of all regarding health insurance, i have a pre-existing condition and the only way i can get insurance is through my yeshiva/kollel the republicans idea of fixing healthcare doesn’t help me (personally i would rather it be private sector just make a law that they have to accept anyone)
I’m just saying it’s right wing, if i polled shvartzas i would get an 80-100% approval rating
    statistics aren’t facts

  7. What does this even matter? We don’t even know who was polled, what their party affiliation is, what their original support for Obama was…
Many statistics are skewed and don’t necessarily mean much.
