The Family Of A Great Mekubal Deals With Double Tragedy

[COMMUNICATED CONTENT]
Sometimes, the greatest tzadikim are the ones we hear very little about, until after they leave this world.  Such was the case with Rav Binyamin Basri, zt”l, a tzadik and mekubal who recently passed away. Rav Basri lived in Be’er Sheva and was a direct descendant of the Ben Ish Chai. Not only was he a brilliant Torah scholar, but he was a person of extreme kindness, and he helped countless people who visited him with many different problems.

Rabbi Basri was born in Jerusalem to Rabbi Sasson Basri, who was the sister of the great-grandson of the  “Ben Ish Chai”. Also, there was the usual great-grandson of Rabbi Yehuda silly. His uncle is the famous Mekubal, Rabbi David Basri.

HaRav Basri opened a Yeshiva and learning center for Balei Teshuva called “Beit Yosef” in Be’er Sheva, in a neighborhood called “Kiryat HaAvot.” There he succeeded in bringing thousands of students close to Torah with his warm teaching and his great humility.  In a much heralded event, every year on Yom Kippur Eve, tens of thousands of people gather to hear him lead Selichos at “Vasermil Stadium” in Be’er Sheva.

Up until four years ago, everything was wonderful for this righteous family of 12. The father, one of the greatest Kabbalists in the Holy Land, lead the Yeshiva faithfully, and the righteous mother, gave them all a lot of warmth and love. Even when there was not much to eat at home, they hid the truth about their desperate financial situation from the eyes of the children.

Then, just four years ago, the Rebbitzen suddenly passed away and so the holy Tzaddik, took the reins of the house, and tried very hard to continue to raise their 12 children on his own. But just two years later, he too passed away suddenly, leaving the children orphaned from both parents.

The family of 12 children, led by their older brother, tried to pick up the pieces and rebuild on their own. They are like their parents: heroes, with righteous spirits, and Baruch Hashem, they live their lives according to their parents’ wishes.

Now, the oldest daughter is getting married, Baruch Hashem, to a God-fearing man and a Torah scholar; but she has no parents to take care of even her most basic wedding expenses!

Since Hashem is the father of orphans, He asks you to please help his precious daughter get married!
