piper.jpgWappingers Falls, NY – The passenger in last month’s plane crash in the Town of Wappinger died Tuesday, according to the Westchester County Office of the Medical Examiner. Daniel Bisk, 53, of Pleasantville, was pronounced dead Tuesday at the Westchester Medical Center.

His autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. Bisk was the passenger of a Piper Cherokee aircraft that crashed into a forested area off of Spook Hill Road on Nov. 22. The pilot of the aircraft, Amir Tirosh, 52, of Bedford Hills, was pronounced dead at the scene. Federal Aviation Administration officials said the single-engine plane took off from Orange County Airport and was headed to Danbury, Conn., when Tirosh reported the plane was experiencing a problem with its oil pressure.

Tirosh was planning to make an emergency landing at the Dutchess County Airport in New Hackensack at the time of the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board’s Office of Aviation Safety, the agency investigating the accident, is expected to release the findings of its on-site crash investigation sometime this week. The results of the rest NTSB’s investigation, including the probable cause of the crash, is expected to be released eight months to a year from now.
