Authorities said an 18-year-old man was killed Sunday in a shooting in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles – just two blocks from the Yeshiva Gedolah of Los Angeles.

Officer Karen Rayner of the Los Angeles Police Department told KCAL 9 News that the man was shot in the chest while riding in a Toyota Corolla around 2:35 p.m. on La Brea Avenue, just south of Olympic Boulevard.

The man was later declared dead at a hospital. The shooting appears to have possibly been gang-related.

There were no other injuries in this shooting.
