11:15PM EST: [UPDATE BELOW] Boro Park Shomrim is currently conducting a search for a missing elderly person, and are being assisted by dozens of volunteers from Hatzolah and Chaverim.
The NYPD has called a Level 1 response, and K9 and Aviation units are on the scene assisting the 66th Pct as well.

I decided to help volunteer after reading the notice on Yeshiva World, and I must say I was very impressed with the achdus among the organizations involved.
The search was coordinated by the Boro Park Shomrim, with volunteers from Hatzolah, Shomrim, Chaveirim, and the public. There were people from Boro Park, Williamsburg, and Flatbush all involved.
It was well organized, and efficient, with everyone that responded quickly was assigned a grid. There was no chaos, no fighting, and mostly, no egos!!!
Kol hakuvod to the Shomrim for developing a great system, and thanks to everyone that helped out. There were over 200 volunteers!!
