MK Uri Maklev appears determined to take action, unwilling to accept the new reality; Intel Jerusalem has decided to operate on shabbos.
Maklev is quoted by Kol Chareidi as saying “we cannot strengthen Jerusalem physically while destroying the spiritual aspect”.
He cited the recent problems surrounding the opening of Karta parking lot on shabbos, adding “we must do what we must do without consideration as to what others say… They mustn’t think they can do as they wish without paying a price. Intel is a large company, but I am not afraid”.
Intel Jerusalem announced on erev shabbos that the firm will remain closed this shabbos.

Andrew S. Grove — co-founder, former chairman and CEO, and now senior advisor of Intel — is a Hungarian-born Jew. Perhaps the Rabbanim of Eretz Yisrael can quietly persuade him to convince his corporation to do the right thing.
#1– “Andrew” is a saints name with no Jewish connection. He probably feels that the right thing is to ignore our Shabbos.
In any event, this indicates that they won’t hire frum Jews. That is a more serious effort.
Anyone to preferring alternative chips.

“When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
As Shabbat is the day of rest in Israel and Christians claim to recognize the Torah, it is appropriate and respectful to the home country to be closed on the seventh day.
I believe that Intel, which produces computer chips (and in Israel, may do R&D of them), is not a 24/7 type of business.
