Mayor Michael Bloomberg has picked up the endorsement of the New York Post.
In backing Bloomberg, the paper said today that now is not the time for untested leadership for the city, adding challenger William Thompson, the city comptroller, does not measure up to Bloomberg’s standard.
The Post cites Bloomberg’s record on education, crime fighting and fiscal responsibility, calling him a “competent and sometimes brilliant” leader.
The editorial board also says even though the term limits issue may hurt Bloomberg on Election Day, it’s ultimately important for the most talented candidate to be elected.

The New York Times also endorsed Michael Bloomberg for mayor in today’s editorial. I guess that comes as no surprise.
#1: It actually comes as a GREAT surprise when the NYT goes against the Democratic candidate…
