Bernie Madoff, the disgraced financier blamed for what is believed to be the largest Ponzi scheme in history and currently serving a 150-year sentence, got into a shoving match with an inmate reportedly over the stock market, a report in the New York Post said.
Witnesses told the newspaper that Madoff, serving in federal prison in Butner, North Carolina, got into a heated debate about the state of the market with another inmate near a ball field, reportedly escalating the discussion into a shouting match. The inmate then pushed Madoff, who shoved back harder, according to the report. The inmate stumbled and fell, and Madoff glared over him until the inmate went away, the report said.
Madoff pleaded guilty in March to charges that his investment advisory business was a multibillion-dollar scheme that wiped out thousands of investors and ruined charities.

This seems a bit hard to believe. This old —- pushed and knocked down another inmate who backed down against Madoff’s “glare”??? Come on… you gotta be kidding!
In my opinion, enough with this story. I know everyone knows about this guy but somehow reading about every incidental thing in this guy’s life feels like loshon hora.
Unless one has a din of a tinok shenishba (which may be subject to debate) there would not be an issur loshon horah for someone who is not an osseh masseh amcho. I just think that it is inane to keep posting and discussing totally irrelevant details of his life. It is over. Move on and learn whatever lessons that there are to be learned!
It looks like Bernie has been pumping iron in the prison gym! By the time he is released at age 210 he’ll be able to walk through Harlem at any time of night without a care in the world!
Do you realize that if this guy comes back as a Gilgul, he will have to spend the entire time in jail.
Just looking at his picture makes me nauseous, it is not lashon hara to speak about such a person but who cares. What bothers me if the people that he stole from.
he is not the worst person in the world. obama is worse and he wants to steal alot more.
The prison officials should immediately transfer the belligerant inmate who initiated the shoving to another prison.
