THOMPSON – One of Sullivan County’s bright spots in terms of economic development continues to be the Town of Thompson.

Town Supervisor Anthony Cellini said interest is running high in construction in the town.

 “Even though there is the downturn in economy, our building and planning departments are extremely busy with new projects, with completed projects, with projects that are under construction,” he said.

There are some 1,500 housing units in varying stages of planning and construction in the Town of Thompson.
