The head Mosdos Alkabetz in Tzfas, Rabbi Eliyahu Davush z”l, died suddenly on during an engagement  l’chaim for his son, held on Wednesday night in Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood.

Hatzolah responders were the first on the scene, beginning resuscitation, joined by MDA paramedics. Despite the advanced life support measures, efforts were unsuccessful and the rav was pronounced dead. The incident took place in the home of the kalah.

The rav was 57, leaving behind a wife and 11 children.
