HaRav Levi Yitzchak Levenstein, who was a gabbai of Maran HaGaon Rav Aryeh Leib Shteinman Shlita, was niftar on the morning of erev Rosh Hashanah following a period of difficult of yissurim. He returned his neshama to the Borei Ha’Olam in Maynei HaYeshua Hospital.

Rav Levenstein, who was in his 50s, was diagnosed with cancer in the past year, and in recent months, was wheelchair bound.

Those in the inner circle report Rav Levenstein was among the closest gabba’im to Rav Shteinman. In past years, he was a rebbe in Yeshivas Bichas Yitzchak, Beis Shemaya and Aruchas Torah.

He is survived by his rebbitzin and 12 children, 3 of who are married. The levaya took place on erev shabbos in Bnei Brak, in the presence of many gedolei yisrael.
