Magen David Adom announces that in addition to its 15,000 nationwide volunteers, of which 4,000 are in the ‘on-call’ unit, it is adding an additional 200 to the ‘on-call’ fleet.
These 200 volunteers will receive a MDA motorized scooter and equipment, permitting them to respond from wherever they are at a moment’s notice.
The volunteers took part in a special evening hosted in the Ruth Daniel Residence Hotel in Tel Aviv, during which a ceremony was held to distribute their first-response bags and equipment which was purchased by the National Road Safety Authority.
The new on-call personnel include both paramedics and EMTs, delivering basic and advanced life support for persons requiring prehospital emergency medical care.
