Voters across the five boroughs are heading to the polls today to cast their votes in dozen of races on primary day.
The city’s Board of Elections says more than 4,000 voting machines at more than 1,300 poll sites have been set.
However, they aren’t expecting a big turnout.
Most of the primaries are on the Democratic side.
In the race for mayor, City Comptroller William Thompson, Queens City Councilman Tony Avella and nonprofit manager Roland Rogers are facing off.
For comptroller, the primary pits council members Melinda Katz, John Liu, David Weprin and David Yassky against each other.
And, for public advocate .the Democratic candidates are former Public Advocate Mark Green, council members Bill de Blasio and Eric Gioia, civil rights lawyer Norman Siegel and Brooklyn lawyer Imtiaz Syed.
There are also contests for Manhattan district attorney, Queens borough president and a number of City Council seats.

The reality is, is Bllomberg is bad but Thompson is worse, sort of the same thing with Mccain and b.HUSSEIN. John Liu is a sneaky guy that would be against white people, bi de blasio is a classic political hack liberal. The decent people here are Melinda Katz and David Weprin NOT DAVID YASSKY.
