Lakewood Hatzolah & Lakewood PD Issue Joint Statement Following Summons Incident

lkwdhbus.jpgAt a recent Motor Vehicle Accident a member of Hatzolah received a summons from a Lakewood Police Officer (reported HERE on YWN).

The following joint statement was just released to YWN:

When there is possible danger to life tensions can run high. Our past history has been one of cooperation with very few incidents such as this most recent one. Both of our organizations wish to recommit to working hand in hand for the safety of our citizens. There will be continued training and effort to avoid any unnecessary confrontation.

We have a long standing professional relationship with the utmost respect and confidence in each other. We intend to continue to work together to serve our community and provide excellent emergency services when they are needed.

  1. Bottom Line:
    A: Was the ticket rescinded/invalidated?
B: Will the cop face discipline and/or sensitivity training (i.e. common sense)

  2. What training is needed?????????!!!!!!!!!!!

You need COMMON SENSE!!! CHEIF LAWSON ALL YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR COPS IS : LET HATZOLAH DO THEIR JOB AND LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! They are there to help not for fun! I’ve yrt to see an officer harras Lakewwood First Aid or Give a Ticket to the Fire Dept. Who by the way come so late that you dont need them anymore!

  3. One interesting note. According to the only one that can jump a red light in the state of New Jersey is………… the mail man. The reason for this is because the mail man is under the federal government. In all our EMS classes we were never actually told that we were allowed to disobey the law.

It still is disgusting that the officer gave the EMT a ticket. They would never ticket their own.
