After a frightening few minutes, the Lakewood Police Department located and apprehended an armed man in the heart of Lakewood’s Jewish Community.
At approximately 11:00PM, dozens of Lakewood Police officers were seen flooding the streets in the area of BMG and Forest Avenue. They were looking for a Hispanic male armed with a 10 inch knife.
He was soon spotted, and after a foot-pursuit, was taken into custody on Forest Avenue and 6th Street.
The man turned out to be an emotionally disturbed person, and was transported to Kimball Medical Center by Lakewood EMS with minor injuries.
Boruch Hashem no one else was injured in the incident.
