The fire which has burned 144,000 acres of the Los Angeles National Forest, and killed two firefighters, is the largest fire in L.A. County history – and has officially been classified as an arson fire.According to a report by the L.A. Times, authorities have launched a homicide investigation.
The massive blaze has been under investigation for days, with the focus being on a road turnout along Angeles Crest Highway north of La Cañada Flintridge.
“Forensic examination has led this team effort to conclude….that it was an act of arson,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters.
Near Mile Marker 29, authorities were treating the fire’s suspected ignition site as a crime scene. Yellow tape cordoned off the area and authorities blocked the highway, turning away even Caltrans workers and earthmovers. Members of the bomb squad also arrived at the scene but officials declined to say what their role was in the probe.

I’m waiting for a comment from the guy who said that the fire was “Aish Hashem” because it threatened to destroy TV stations.
All the guy said was that halevai that the Aish Hashem should burn down TV stations – nothing about putting people’s lives in sakona chas v’sholom. Refer back to that comment and you’ll see that’s exactly what he meant – not more and not less.
When the Aish Hashem burned Nodov & Avihu it was only that – a fire where nothing else was destroyed.
You have to re-analyze you hashkofos if you claim that since the fire was deliberately set by humans, than it’s NOT an Aish Hashem – “הרבה שלוחים למקום”
