IDT Website Hacked By Iran?

idt.jpg5:00PM EST: People attempting to visit the IDT website were greeted with an image of the Iranian flag, and the following words written in red:

“THE REASON OF THIS ATTACK: GIFT2GO CLOSED IRANIAN VIRTUAL VISA CARDS WITHOUT ANY REASON
NOTE: DO NOT PLAY WITH IRANIAN, BECAUSE  YOU WILL LOSS
ALL CUSTOMER CREDIT CARDS IN OUR CONTROL .”

Sources tell YWN that it was a “DNS hack”, and that IDT had changed the domain settings to point to a new server – allowing visitors to their website to see the regular IDT site without any issue. Although this was in fact the case earlier, as of this posting visitors to the site are instead giving the hackers message.

Additionally, YWN has been informed that credit card information has not been compromised as the hackers claimed. Just the IDT web site http://www.idt.net/.

  1. There was no hack. There was a major DNS poison. A while back a DNS vulnerability was discovered. It seems that not everyone secured their servers.

  2. Looks like we need the services of “The Analyzer” Ehud Tennanbaum (Do A Google Search on him) to teach the Persians a lesson!!

  3. MonseyFan, if it was a DNS vulnerability exploit, it could be on any relay between the user and IDT’s server. Research before you post nonsense.
