Baby Jogger Recalls 41,000 Strollers For Fall Hazard

bjog.jpgBaby Jogger has recalled 41,000 of its City Mini Strollers because the restraint buckle can come unlatched, causing the child to fall out, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

No injuries have been reported, the Virginia-based company said.

The recall involves single and double strollers in 12 different color combinations, all made between November 2007 and Feb. 28, 2009.

The manufacturing date codes can be found engraved on the frame behind the rear wheel axel crossbar, or on the back of the frame on the upright bar between the rear wheel and the seat. The item number is on a sticker on the rear wheel crossbar.

The strollers were sold at juvenile product, discount and department stores, and online, from November 2007 through July 2009 for between $220 and $400.

The commission said parents should stop using the strollers immediately and contact Baby Jogger for a replacement buckle and installation instructions. Customers can contact the company at (877) 506-2213, by e-mail at [email protected] or at www.babyjogger.com.
