[VIDEO LINK BELOW] Former Vice President Dick Cheney said in an interview broadcast Sunday that the Justice Department’s decision to review waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation techniques is politically motivated.
Cheney said he opposes the decision by Attorney General Eric Holder to ask a former prosecutor to review CIA interrogations of high-profile terrorism suspects.
Cheney made clear he believes President Obama directed Holder to launch the review because the president is feeling pressure from left-wing Democrats. Cheney said the review will undermine the willingness of CIA personnel to conduct necessary operations.
“I think it’s a terrible decision,” Cheney said on “Fox News Sunday.” “It’s clearly a political move. There’s no other rationale for why they’re doing this.”
He criticized Obama for allowing a review considering the president previously said that CIA operatives involved in the interrogations would not be prosecuted. “I think he’s trying to duck responsibility for what’s going on here, and I think it’s wrong,” Cheney said.

Bravo to Vice President Cheney for fearlessly speaking the truth.
When oh when will Obama and his gang of Fascists come to the realization that THEY will be in deep trouble when this administration ends bm’hayra b’yamaynu amen?? There will be so many investigations into this president and his crooked czars, their heads will spin!
Of course Obama maynt er iz kliger fin aleh but he will get his and it will be great to see.
Instead of focusing on how to stop tens of thousands of murders of totally innocent people every year in this country this president is ignoring it and focusing on a few people that should have been killed for participating in terrorism and worrying that they weren’t treated too well. How small minded and off the mark can you get?
or calling #4 a frum yid.
thank you WASHINGTON-Obama is so worried about Achmadinijad (lets talk nicely to him), about the detainess (who carea about the suffering of those that lost loved ones to these terrorists) while his own country is falling apart-id love to buy him a one way ticket to Europe-he’d love it and they’d love him (since his numbers here are tanking)
4, The former Veep should be in jail?? Are you out of your mind or did you fall & hit your head??
Cheney does nothing that is not good for Cheney. He is worried things will be revealed to further damage the horrible Bush/Cheney legacy.
That being said, the new administration is just as bad and only endorsing this to continue the political warfare the two parties wage against each other.
America has no representatives in either party except for Guiliani or maybe one or two others. Our politicians ruined America more than Al Qaeda could ever wish.
But the government is already committed (and has reaffirmed) that they will pay for private lawyers for any and all CIA agents accused of misconduct.
While these somewhat unwise policies may impair recruiting spies, they will help reduce the employment crisis for lawyers. Unemployed lawyers go around looking for people to sue, which is bad (perhaps we should be sending lawyers to Afghanistan – though that probably would be crime against humanity, if not against common sense). At best, they’ll sue the Taliban and annoy them, and at worst the Taliban will shoot all the lawyers, which is so Shakespearean.
Where is the achdus? Seriously! It is one thing to disagree based on content, but to make a dig against your fellow on behalf of a public figure?
#11, Indeed. It always did seem like you didn’t know yourself. 🙂
