In decades past social conservatives decried Social Security as “Communistic” and Medicare as “Socialism” involving a “government takeover” of medecine. Both programs are now non-ideological parts of the American landscape.
When are well intentioned conservatives going to take a close look at who benefits from the current system of insurance, who is leading the opposition – and take an honest truth-check of the wild falshoods being propegated by organized oppopsition groups.
L’moshel – it’s like the pro-abortion zealots who have successfully (in the press) painted anyone who is morally and religioudly opposed to abortion as being merely “anti-women.” Material distortion of issue and of truth for narrow ideological reasons – same thing is going on here.

Here’s my question: I heard Ben Brafman’s recent speech where he decried the fact that many frum people won’t serve on jury duty. Would you please explain what is the exact Jury Duty process. How much time does it involve, etc. Thanks!

If there are certain things wrong with the system you try and change those certain things, you DONT tear it apart and start all over again unless you have a socialized agenda.
Its interesting that people on the left claim these are lies but it is OBVIOUS you didnt read any part of the bill because its all in there.
We pay enough in taxes and with socialized medicine we will pay more. It doesnt stop with the “rich” as we see the Obama Thugs are already talking about “middle” class. Then there will be a VAT which gets EVERYONE.
