A suspect has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat at a Tulsa Jewish center.
According to Tulsa Co. Jail booking reports, Christopher Jacob Stefanalli, 22, has been arrested on a complaint of a bomb threat by phone.
Dozens of children and residents of the Tulsa Jewish Retirement and Health Care Center were taken to safety Tuesday afternoon after an employee heard a ticking noise coming from a paper-filled trash can. A bomb squad recovered a device that was found to be a harmless household clock, according to police.
An anonymous caller had phoned in a bomb threat earlier on Tuesday afternoon. Tulsa Co. Sheriff’s Office Cpt. John Bowman confirmed that today’s arrest was in connection with this called-in threat.
“The caller said, ‘There is a bomb in the building,'” Bowman said.
According to police, detectives determined that threat was in response to a domestic dispute with Stefanalli’s partner and that the suspected device was purely coincidental and was not placed at the location by the suspect.
Police said detectives also do not think that this was a hate crime or is a Homeland Security issue.

I didn’t realize there were Jews left in Tulsa. It used tobe a thriving comunity but when a few years ago, there wasn’t even enough Jews to scrape together for minyan for a levaya.
