It’s like a gift from the parking Gods. Once you find a parking spot in certain neighborhoods in Brooklyn, you can stay there for six weeks. But as CBS 2’s Magee Hickey tells us, it’s only a temporary gift.
Call it the “summer of the tough-to-find parking spot” in downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights. That’s because starting Monday, alternate side of the street parking has been suspended for six to eight weeks while the city’s Department of Transportation changes the parking signs.
There were no new signs in place telling drivers about the temporary rules, but savvy parkers were in the know.
The suspended alternate side of the street parking rules go into effect for close to two months in parts of Brooklyn Heights, downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo and Vinegar Hill.
Eventually the new parking signs will have looser regulations. Street sweeping will go from twice to once a week and the hours will be briefer. But in the meantime, the hunt for a parking spot is on.
The next two neighborhoods where alternate side of the street rules will be suspended are also in Brooklyn: Carroll Gardens and Prospect Heights. The new rules will make their way to the Bronx by the end of the year.

I’m glad for people in Brooklyn, but maybe the first sentence of the article could have been left out…
“It’s like a gift from the parking Gods”? does capitalizing “gods” make it mutar to believe in “THEM”?
#3, Is it mutar to be on the internet?
#4: The internet is a wonderful medium to spread Torah and love of Gcd.
