Sources tell YWN that the NYPD has man in custody, and suspect he is the man responsible for “assaulting” more than a dozen woman in the Crown Heights Jewish Community. The troubling incidents started approximately June 19th, prompting Brooklyn South Chief Joseph Fox, and Inspector Simonetti of the 71 Pct to assign dozens of additional patrol cars to the streets of the neighborhood.
The victims range in age from 19 to 44 years old.
“He’s a lowlife. I think he’s a coward. And he will be sent to jail,” City Councilwoman Letitia James told NY1.
The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall. He is said to weigh between 175 and 200 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.
UPDATE: Sources confirm to YWN that the person in custody is in fact the man who was wanted by the NYPD, and has given a confession statement. A public thanks must be given to Brooklyn South Chief Joseph Fox, Chief Theresa Shortell, of the NYPD Special Victims Bureau, Inspector Simonetti, and the entire staff at PBBS – most notably Lieutenant Jimmy Woods, and Sergent Ira Jablonsky – for their extra effort in making sure that this suspect was apprehended!
