Chabad Russian Shluchim Wrap Up Kinnos

rebbe.jpgChabad shluchim from areas of Russia were in Yerushalayim for their annual kinnos. Hundreds of shluchim attended a banquet held in Binyanei Ha’uma (Jerusalem Convention Center) which closed the event. Shluchim over shabbos were in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, taking part in a rich schedule of events.

HaRav Moshe Kotlarsky addressed the forum, explaining that despite increased difficulties, activities in the FSU continue with mesirus nefesh, adding that just this past week, shluchim were sent to two new locations towards expanding activities to bring torah to yidden wherever they may be.

Russia’s Chief Rabbi, Rav Berel Laser also addressed the forum, expressing his satisfaction and praise for the tireless efforts of the shluchim.

Also making an appearance was President Shimon Peres, who was received warmly. Philanthropist Lev Leviev was also present, who over the years has given generously towards maintaining and expanding the activities of the shluchim in his native Russia.

  1. Shimon Peres is the architect, major instigator and eager supporter of the Israeli Government’s policy of reckless and suicidal land give-a-ways to the Arabs [originating at conferences in Madrid (1991) and Oslo (1993)].
Even today after the terrible suffering and the loss of close to 2000 Jewish lives, Peres still lives in his “Fantasy World” of a “New Middle East”, and uses his influence to further Obama’s agenda of forcing Israel to forge ahead with the cruel and disastrous destruction of Jewish cities and towns, and the expulsion of the Jewish population throughout the entire West Bank. Peres joyfully anticipates handing over all of the Yahudah, Shomron, parts of Yerushalayim including the Har Habayis to our Fatah-Hamas “peace partners”, building on the great success of destroying Gush Katif.
It is well know that the Lubavitcher Rebbe waged a fierce and relentless battle against these suicidal policies since the Six Day War. Reading the Rebbe’s talks throughout all these years (collected in an 800 page book titled “Karosi V’ein Oneh”), one senses the enormous pain the Rebbe felt at the terrible suffering these policies would cause, and his anger towards those who know better but for various reasons promote this agenda.
I find it so odd that Chabad would publicly honor a man who stands at the opposite side of the Rebbe’s relentless battle for the security of Acheinu Bnei Yisroel.
I ask the leaders of Chabad: “Is everything for sale for the honor of having the President attend your conference, even your own Rebbe’s pain and honor?”
