Brooklyn Resident Drives Car Into Brook; Says He Fell Asleep


lifenet.jpgWoodbourne, NY – A Brooklyn man was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center on Friday afternoon after driving his car into a brook off of Route 52, according to Fallsburg town police.

The 21-year-old man reported falling asleep at the wheel and then finding himself in the brook a little outside the hamlet of Woodbourne.

Catskills Hatzolah responded to the scene. He is reported to have broken some ribs and was taken by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center.

  1. This young man is my nephew (he’s a really wonderful guy) and as far as I know, he didn’t break any ribs, B”H. He was released before Shabbos in good condition thanks to Hashem and to the fact that he was WEARING A SEATBELT and had an airbag in his car. I feel it’s important to let people know how helpful a seatbelt is.
