The New York Blood Center has reported a blood shortage in Greater New York and has an urgent need for blood donations.

Maimonides Hospital will be holding be an urgent blood drive at the Flatbush Hatzolah Garage today (Sunday June 14). The garage is located at 1880 Ocean Avenue, at the corner of Avenue N, and will be open from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

There will be light refreshments, & a free gift given to all those who donate blood.

The blood drive is being held in memory of Mr. Arnold Jablon Z”L, the father of Mr. Douglas Jablon, the well-known Special Assistant to the President of Maimonides Hospital.

Every blood donation has the potential to save a life. If you are able to, set aside a few minutes for this great Mitzvah and Chesed!
