Two passengers with names linked to Islamic terrorism were on board the Air France flight that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 228 on board, it has emerged.
French secret servicemen established the connection while working through the list of those who boarded the doomed Airbus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 31.
Agents are now trying to establish dates of birth for the two dead passengers, and family connections.
There is a possibility that the name similarities are simply a “macabre coincidence,” the source added, but the revelation is still being “taken very seriously.”
Flight AF447 crashed in mid-Atlantic en route to Paris during a violent storm.
While it is certain that there were computer malfunctions, terrorism has not been ruled out.
Soon after news of the fatal crash broke, agents working for the DGSE (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure), were dispatched to Brazil.
It was there that they established that two names on the passenger list are also on highly classified documents listing the names of radical Muslims considered a threat to the French Republic.
A source working for the French security services told Paris weekly L’Express that the link was “highly significant.”
France has received numerous threats from Islamic terrorist groups in recent months, especially since French troops were sent to fight in Afghanistan.
Security chiefs have been particularly worried about airborne homicide attacks similar to Sept. 11.

i dont think it was terror being that terrorists always take credit for the things they do in order to further their cause
i suspected it was terrorism . now with these two confirmed ,terrorists on board i have no doubt that they had a major hand in bringing down that ill-fated plane.
my heart goes out to the others who suffered and continue to suffer from the action of these terrorists.

Why do we allow anybody with a link to terror to get onto international flights (or have any freedoms that they so desperately want to strip us all of). There are many terrorists that we are unaware of, but those that we do know of, should have sanctions. Placing terrorists on a list doesn’t help any of us, restricting their movements, might.

#2- please learn some basic reading comprehension. no one has been “confirmed” a terrorist. there are 2 names that match those on a list, and surprise surprise, there are probably a million guys out there with the same name. ahmed mohammed is about as common for them as chaim goldberg is for us.
#7- that is a lie; planes have fallen apart in midair due to mechanical failures. if this was terrorism, someone would have come out and and taken responsibility by now, that’s how terrorists work.
yes, airport security could do a lot better, especially in choosing who to search. but not every tragedy is a terrorist attack, and we shouldn’t distract the investigation going on now- if it was mechanical or structural, they need to find out asap what went wrong so as to prevent future tragedies.
I don’t understand these days how it is possible to hijack a plane with such tight security???

Satellite photos taken during the storm shows a sudden white smoke come out of the fuselage (the passenger area). This leads to a strong suspicion that the terrorists were successful with a shoe bomb.

Obviously I could be wrong, however I find it a little Chutzpah to call me a liar, and not give a case where a scheduled, commercial western airplane just happended to have FALLEN out of the sky during flight. (takoff and landing and hitting a mountain do not count.) I stand by my statement. -check it out

First off, I would like to comment on how this site is clearly not moderated of filtered for absurd queastions.
All the article from the website commented on was two of over 200 victims of the Air France crash were on a highly classified document that linked them to a terriorist group. It did not say how they were linked, if they killed anyone, if they were criminals, nothing.
The comments then go on to state that while the most likely cause was a violent storm, terrorism has not been ruled out.
How do people go from there to shoe bombs? This isn’t about political correctness, this is just about stupidity. How could people make such comments and specualtion?
Once again, bored people in the community have seen the word terrorism and have immeadiately made up their minds that some muslim must have done something.
I keep not reading yeshivaworld, because all it is filled with is people who don’t know what they are talking about, or worse, people who have created a most likely false fantasy no doubt that possibly innocent people had a hand in this terrible accident, without seeing a shred of documentation or evidence.
I am not saying what may have caused plane crash, but to pretend that I have the answer is shameful mindset. It is better to silent of something, then to open your mouth and prove us wrong. Unfortuantely, that is what some of you did.

please explain to us how I heaven’s name a satellite picture could have been taken of the plane DURING the storm! satellites can’t see THRU clouds. nice try.
also the panama flight 88-if im remembering correct also crashed midair-did it?

I did not forget those flights, and I went through a list of all crashes that took place in the last 25 years The cases you mentioned are quite different there was an immediately known reason , The TWA was during takoff. On the Swissair flight it was known that there was a fire on the plane the pilots did not land the plane fast enough, but air traffic control had knowledge of the fire for at least 15 minutes. the Air France just fell out of the sky, similar to the Pan Am over Lockerbie, Air India and a few others, they had one thing in common.
