Desperate Democrats are circling the wagons Wednesday morning in the wake of the dramatic New York State Senate shakeup. They’re holding a morning meeting to decide their next step, just as the new coalition that overthrew them plans to exercise its new found power.
Now, rather than handing over the keys to the Senate chambers like adults, Democrats have literally locked out thief political foes while they try cobble together a rescue plan, even turning to the White House for help.
“There is no constitutional requirement that we’ll meet in that room,” said Sen. Pedro Espada Jr.. “We’ll just have to take it outside.”
Senate Democrats, having been told that a court challenge to Monday’s Republican coup would likely not succeed, and Albany remains in a gridlock.
Much to the relief of all New Yorkers, Al Sharpton’s office fired off a press release early this morning announcing that the reverend “will convene an emergency meeting in Queens Wednesday morning with Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and other elected officials, clergy, and civic leaders, to discuss the future of the New York State Senate Majority.”
Oh, good.

SO, NOW YOU SEE THE TRUE FACE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
Come on, you really take the New York legislature seroiusly??????????????????
It’s comic relief so we won’t get upset worrying about the economy. Okay, maybe they should start wearing oversize shoes and big red noses so people won’t confuse them with a deliberative body.
Remember the phrase, “first, do no harm.” They’re just following the doctor’s orders, and is there any way for the legislature to avoid doing harm that is more effective then totally incapacitating themselves. If they can’t legislate, they can’t get into trouble (or spend money).
and the plot thickens….
the less these clowns work, the less money we spend and the more money we have left in our pockets!! let them clown around rather than work, because then we’re doomed!!
The only way to keep them from ‘doing harm’ is to vote them out!
Those Yidden who are not registered to vote; you know who you are…
I will say no more.
well it seems they got the keys now, no idea how.
