ywbn21.gifBais Yaakov of Boro Park will be closed until after Shavuos due to the Swine Flu outbreak, YWN has learned.

A recorded message just went out to the entire parent body of the school advising them of the school closure.

The schools info-line states the following: “There will be no school on Wednesday May 27 due to a precautionary measure against the spread of the Swine Flu.”

It is unknown if there are any suspected cases of the Flu in the school, which is located at 14th Avenue near 46th Street, but the recorded message clearly stated that the decision is strictly a precautionary measure.

  1. omg this is nutty i think that the whole world is just overreacting to it because ut started out in mexico and no one would have thought that it could spread world wide . but i have to say that i think that most of the people that really got infected from the flu i think that they were sick beforehank and when they got the flu it just made it worse. so i think that everyone should daven for refuah of all he cholim but please dont panic. by panicing it jsut makes it worse. and att yw editor , yes this is my opinion and not a fact whatever i said. and i side with you bec i dont think that yw stated an opinion on the flu but maybe it just sounded like an opinion to the reader. thanx loads for the updates on it. i think that its very resourceful.

  2. YESHIVA World, Thanks for informing us ASAP with the updates on “Yshivos/Schools” regarding the alerting H1N1 Swine Flu, if a school can close because of this, its worth enough YWN should report it!

  3. All anyone has to do to contain this virus is to wash your hands with soap and water. (really a hard thing to do.

(It’s easier to just be scared then to wash the hand with soap)

I got these instructions from the book called washing hands for dummies.

This is very hard so please follow the simple instructions especially the one who made the first comment.

    1) go to a sink
    2) turn on the water
    3) get your hands wet
    4) take liquid soap
    4) put the liquid soap on both of your hands
    5) lather around real well for one minute
6)rinse off your hands and repeat 1 -5 one more time

If this is to time consuming on page 57 it says you can ask your mexican cleaning lady to help you. On Page 58 it reminds you to ask your mexican cleaning lady if she washed her own hands.

Page 59 says to make sure your claening lady did not just come from Mexico.

While skimming through the book something very interesting came up on page 23 about washing your hands with soap and water even if your not an employee. Who would ever know this?

  4. Thank you Yeshiva world for posting this. Its very important for the community to know this because we don’t take it serious enough we think evrethink is a joke and it can only happen somewhere else not in our community. That’s why we all have to know when a school closes due to the flu so maybe we will start to listen and understand that the flu is serious and we have to warn our kids to properly take massure to prevent it from spreading it around Kol hakovod to YWN keep it up. And may hashem help us all to be healthy and Happy

  5. im replying to musicoutlet: the instructions you gave are wrong, wen u go to the sink use a tissue to turn on the sink, cause you probly dont have the swine flu and your just parinoide thats why your washing your hands but you might get swine flu from turning on the sink without a tissue cuz somtimes theirs germs on the handle…. so if you get it after turing on the sink thats your problem bec. your parinoide

If you’re going to be pedantic about grammar, at least try to make sure your correction is correct.
    “thats why…” -> “that’s why…”

Although it seems apparent from the second word in your post that you’re not a big fan of apostrophes in general.
