US First Lady Visits Prague Synagogue & Jewish Cemetery


US First Lady Michelle Obama visited Sunday the Old Jewish cemetery in Prague, during the second day of President Barack Obama’s official visit to the Czech Republic.
 
The African-American First Lady also visited the Jewish quarter of Prague and paid tribute to the tragic history of the Jewish community that found success and influence in the United States.
 
Accompanied by a guide, she also visited Prague’s Pinkas Synagogue.

Barack Obama is attending a summit between the US and the 27-member European Union in the Czech capital.

The Czech Republic currently chairs the EU.
