YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of HaRav Tzvi Mordechai Felder ZATZAL, a Rov for 40+ years in his Shul on 49th Street and 18th Avenue. Rabbi Felder is also the father of Rav Shmuel Felder Shlita, one of Lakewood’s prominent Poskim, as well as NYC Councilman Simcha Felder.
The Levaya is scheduled for 3:00PM at Rabbi Felder’s Shul, 4901 18th Avenue (not at the earlier location of Shomrei Hachomos Chapels).

It might be also noteworthy to mention that he is also the father of a choshuvah and well known posek in Lakewood.

On a serious note, Rabbi Felder was a special Yid, a Tzaddik and an anav. I have not met many Talmidei Chachamim like him who had so little regard for Kavod or self-aggrandizement.
He wasn’t well for a few years, but nonetheless a loss of a specia neshama.

Oy – Rabbi Felder was a major tzaddik – if we had more people like him around still there’s be no divorces or kids off the derech – i’m convinced of this! it’s time for people to get their act together and stop blaming others for their problems. Very little is accomplished when all we do is complain. We must band together b’achdus and do what we can to help yiddishe neshamos! yehi zichro baruch!

When Simcha’s father came into the hospital that I worked at, I saw him each day, and to speak to the children too.
Simcha is a good friend, and member of my family too. He is caring, understanding with a big heart and a warm soul.
He was nice to my family, and also to the shul that I davened at, and with Purim approaching, we should do more, in his fathers’ honor.
Also, does anyone know, where they will be sitting shiva at??
Just got a report from SHAMAYIM; Rav Felder was invited into GAN EDEN and he asked: who me? are you sure? Sitting together with the greatest? this is a mistake? he is still arguing if he deserved GAN EDEN; This man was a last of a kind. I just can’t imagine when all the digataries come for shiva calls to the house, and see how a TZADIK lived.
