Why is YWN the only one reporting deaths?
#1 – the Dutch media are reporting deaths also, 9 as of now. (I’m Dutch and read the local media.)
There are 25 seriously injured people.
The injured have been taken to hospitals in Hoofddorp, Leiden, Alkmaar, Utrecht, and several hospitals in Amsterdam. Possibly also to other hospitals in other nearby cities. I think we may assume that all of the passengers have been evacuated by now, almost 6 hours after the crash.
its unfortunate when such crashes take place and there are korbonos.however, #1, the ywn is probably right and have good sources for news .lets hope that no more incidents like these take place . what is perplexing is the reason for the crash is not clear. there was a slight drizzle and no wind at time of crash.in time , we will find out the reason.
I believe Tower crashed a cargo plane in Amerstadam several years back. A plane crashing next to a runway with no fire, kinda shmecks from fuel exhaustion. You would think it doesn’t happen in commercial airliners, but from time to time it does. The most famous was probably the Gimli Glider in Canada. Safe landing no injuries at an abandoned military airfield. (people were using the runway for drag racing at the time.)
