  1. oy!! baruch dayen ames! i went to tag… i remember his parsha speaches -even though my sisters told me lately that he stopped giving them

  2. I was a member of the second graduating class of TAG; a student of TAG in its first few breaths before Rabbi Weitman–a Tzaddik in our Dor–took the reins. Through all the years since that long ago time, Rabbi Weitman has been a giant in my eyes–in Ruchnius, Ahavas Torah, Courage and determination to do right in the face of all challenges. Somehow life seemed safer as long as Rabbi Weitman shared this world with us.

It is a certainty that Rabbi Weitman will continue to advocate for his thousands of Talmidos and for all K’lal Yisroel in his true home. May the saintly Rebbetzin Weitman derive comfort from knowing how much love and respect are spread throughout the world for our beloved Teacher.

  3. Oy Vey ! what a terrible loss for klal yisroel and of course for TAG. Rabbi Weitman has left a tremendous void for all of us. May the Ribono Shel Olam grant us the strength to carry on, and may all the TAG girls continue to make Rabbi Weitman Z”TL proud of the legacy he left behind.”BORUCH DAYAN HAEMES”.

  4. Rabbi Weitman was more than just the dean of TAG. He was a truly righteous man. He was a tremendous Tzadik of our generation.
He excelled in Ahavas Torah, Ruchnius-he possessed this certain look of tranquility which only so few have.

Although I did not attend TAG Elementary-I am a student at TAG High School. I did not know Rabbi Weitman (Zatzal) for long and I was not fully aware of his critical condition. His death was a total shock, and to me, completely unexpected.

But, I hope that I will be able to initiate something (like some type of small chesed organization)in his zechus. Although, he deserves MUCH more than that.

My deepest sympathies for anyone who knew him personally!
    Baruch Dayan Emes!

  5. Rabbi Weitman sparked the light of Torah for many generations to come. He touched many souls and was a Tzaddik Gamor in our generation.

  6. Rabbi Weitman sparked the light of Torah all over. He touched many souls. He was a Tzaddik Gamor and this should Bim’hera v’ ameinu bring a yesua for klal yisroel

  7. Baruch Dayan Haemes.Oyyy! What difficult news to read.
I was in the 3rd graduating class of TAG High school, and fortunate to be one of his talmidos.
Rabbi Weitman ztz’l was a man way ahead of his times. He had the courage to give answers in the days when we weren’t “allowed” to ask questions. I spent many hours in his office asking my own questions, and he was always patient and understanding with me, always with a smile and a laugh. If not for him, I might have easily lost my way.
He was one of the first (if not the very first!) to institute weekly parsha quizzes, so that the girls would review the parsha every shabbos.
He was an innovator in many ways, including his famous speech about “mini-skirts and mini-yarmulkas”, and he had the courage to speak up about difficult topics.
He will be sorely missed. Yehi zichro baruch!
May he be a meiliz yosher for all his family and for his thousands of “girls”.

  8. i WAS ZOCHE TO HAVE FIVE GIRLS WHO LEARNED IN TAG UNDER HIS WISE AND LOVING LEADERSHIP.hE MADE A TREMENDOUS ‘ROSHEM’ ON THEM.HIS INSPIRING WORDS AT GRADUATIONS STILL ECHO IN OUR EARS.IN ADDITION HE WAS SENSITIVE TO THE FINANCIAL SITUATIONS OF THE PARENTS AT A TIME WHEN IT WASNT IN STYLE.mAY HIS WONDERFUL FAMILY HAVE A NECHAMA AND MAY HE BE A “MAILETZ yOSHER’FOR CLALL YISROEL

  9. Boruch Dayan Ha’emes;
It is a big zchus for a person that so many poeple are writing so many nice things about him.
May he rest in peace until the speedy comming of Moshiach

  10. Rabbi Weitman ztz”l was one of the forerunners in chinuch and began when it wasn’t yet fashionable! A little know secret, Sh! don’t tell anyone! He went through huge expenses to get the top teachers and paid to bus them in each day because when it comes to chinuch – the real way – money can not stand in the way of getting the top, most dedicated Yiros Shamayim to educate His girls! (I know this because my daughter was one of those teachers!)
May he be a maylitz Yosher for our dor Yasom and plead on our behalf before the Melech Malchei Hamlachim!
    Yehi Zichroi Baruch!

  11. All TAG girlss going to his levaya are asked to wear uniform.

He was a tremendous person, who would make it his bussiness to give parsha speeches, even when he was still sick.

  12. Rabbi Weitman Z”L was also a Rav in Monticello, NY before opening TAG. May he be a Leilitz Yosher for his family, talmidos and Klal Yisrael.

  13. When Reb Moshe Weitman OB”M was Rav in Monticello NY,many years ago,my Zaida Reb Moshe Mordechai Lieber was nifter during the summer of 1955.There were no Chevra or Misaskim at that time and Reb Moshe personally took full responsibility and assured my Zaida K’vura L’halacha. A Chesed Shel Emes from one Rizhner Yid to another. Our family is eternally grateful.
    Yussie Lieber

  14. I never knew Rav Weitman, zt”l, but my mother and my aunt both were talmidos in TAG, back in the mid 70’s to the early 80’s. Even though I didn’t go to TAG, I know that Rav Weitman made a tremendous, tremendous impact on the lives of so many women and girls of Klal Yisroel.

  15. I attended TAG high school way back in the early days when it began to be popular to go to seminary in Israel upon graduation. Most of my class was going to Eretz Yisrael but I couldn’t afford it. Rabbi Weitman raised the money and told me I had “won a scholarship” to a seminary in Israel. That year was the crown jewel of my Torah education and it is in Rabbi Moshe Weitman’s Zchus that I have merited to raise a Bayis Ne’eman B’Yisrael. יהי זכרו ברוך.
