France’s Jewish leaders have turned to French President Nicolas Sarkozy to work to curb rising anti-Semitism, reporting over 100 incidents since the IDF launched Operation Cast Lead.

French Jewish leaders report 250 attacks in all of 2007, and over 100 since the IDF counter-terrorism offensive was launched a number of weeks ago. President Sarkozy assured community leaders he regards the matter with the seriousness it demands and efforts to bring a halt to the increase in attacks would be implemented.
