On Tuesday morning, Rav Tzvi Kupperberg Z”L was niftar in Jerusalem’s Bikur Cholim Hospital. R’ Kupperberg was the menahel ruchani of the Gur talmid torah in Yerushalayim.

On Monday evening, he collapsed in Geula, found by medics in cardiac arrest. He was transported to Bikur Cholim Hospital where doctors did their utmost. Rabbi Kupperberg returned his neshama to HaKadosh Baruch Hu on Tuesday morning at the age of 72.

The niftar was a brother of Rav Yosef Kupperberg, the executive director of Agudas Yisrael. He was also the father-in-law of the Gerre Rebbe’s son, Rav Nechemia Alter.

Next week, the niftar’s grandson is to be married to a granddaughter of the Gerre Rebbe Shlita. The wedding was moved up a week due to the general election the following week. Tonight, Tuesday, his sister’s son is being married.
